The Bushel Reads A Book

Hey party people! I owe you a hugeeeee Trump’s ego sized apology. I have been so very absent since I started my new job in April. But now that things are settling in, I’m back at it! Hopefully for good! But I want to shake things up a bit. Instead of ranting about books, I want to try something more interactive.IMG_1881

The plan is to read a book, Moody Bithces by Dr. Julie Holland with my group of girlfriends who live across the country from me. The story goes; we all studied abroad together and when we got back to the states we were spread out all over the country. Illinois, Kentucky, Colorado. We went from seeing each other every day to not at all. I distinctly remember lying on the floor of my father’s home office crying because I missed my friends so much. Mind you, I was 20… not 7. So it was a concerning and confusing moment for my parents. I decided I couldn’t take it anymore and I used my leftover miles to book a flight to see my friends in Chicago. And thus began the yearly reunions. We traveled through Europe together and now we’ve been to Chicago, Louisville KY, Charleston IL, and Longmont CO as well. Each of our yearly trips is filled more heinous antics than the last and the memories we sometimes don’t want to remember will always be with us. We cIMG_1897all ourselves The Bushel for reasons that don’t even really  makes sense to us. That being said, we’ve decided to read this book together. We’ll skype each week and discuss and I thought It would be a fun to document and publish these wine filled discussions about the inner workings of the female brain. It will be vulgar. It will be funny. and it will be incoherent at times.

There will be wine involved. So each week you’ll get a wine recommendation from one of the five of us, and we will discuss and I will type rapidly and then you will have the pleasure of reading our weird thoughts! A quick warning, you will get to know each of us on a deeply disturbing level. So join us on this horrid journey to finding ourselves in the pages of a book and a bottle of wine.
